$1.2 Million Settlement

Partner, Jerry Baldino, secured a $1.2 million dollar settlement, representing tender of all available insurance coverage on behalf of the estate of a woman who suffered fatal injuries in a a head on collision. The case presented unique challenges as the deceased driver was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Furthermore, she attempted to execute a left hand turn in the face of oncoming traffic. Through extensive discovery and analysis of both vehicles’ data recorders, we were able to establish that the adverse vehicle was traveling in excess of the speed limit. Had he been driving within the speed limit, the accident reconstructionist retained by our firm would have testified that the accident could have been avoided.
